The sixth annual Charity Golf Tournament hosted by The Finance Factors Foundation raised $20,000 for sustainability programs at selected public elementary schools. The tournament, which was held at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club on Oahu, featured sponsorship packages ranging from corporate to platinum. Sponsors received benefits like logo placement and snack stations provided by The Anda-Dog and Da Burger Joint. The tournament was followed by a dinner and awards banquet.
The Finance Factors Foundation supports a variety of community-based organizations throughout the state of Hawaii and the Commonwealth of Guam. The Foundation has two distinct areas of focus: financial education and community development. In addition to its work with nonprofit organizations, the Foundation also provides general support for its own community-based projects. Its mission is to promote financial literacy, create a better quality of life, and help Hawaii’s diverse communities thrive.
Lau has spent a lifetime giving back to the community and applying his expertise to serve his communities. He has been a member of the Financial Executives Institutes and the Hawaii Bankers Association and consistently displays leadership qualities. He serves on the boards of numerous organizations, including the Assets School, the East-West Center Foundation, the St. Andrew’s Priory, and the Palolo Chinese Home, among others. Lau also finds personal fulfillment in giving back to the community through his work in the nonprofit sector.
